Have you ever been doing an Impress presentation, noticed a glaring flaw, and felt that overwhelming embarassment of knowing that you can't do anything about it without stopping the running presentation?
Yes? Well... chin up, friend. Hope is on the horizon!
The hope comes in the form of recent activity on this bug, which has been around since 2011 (COME ON!!!)
If you can't tell, I'm a wee bit annoyed with how long it takes for some things to get looked at in the open source world.
Kudos to Rohan Kumar for working on this long standing request, which, as it turns out, has been easy to implement all along, but has been ignored for a full five years. In the technology world, that's a mighty long time. A mighty long time for former Powerpoint users to have run into this missing feature, and scratched their heads in confusion as to how anyone could put up with an office suite that doesn't let you fix your spelling errors on the fly.
😐...
But, all rants aside, thankfully, it looks like LibreOffice, at least in this area, is finally entering the modern age. Glory be!
Now... if only someone would take a look at this bug... Sigh... A man can dream, I guess.
