Earlier today, after much speculation and innumerable predictions, <a href="http://www.markshuttleworth.com/archives/1195">Mark Shuttleworth</a> posted his normal blog post announcing the name for the next release of Ubuntu, 13.04.

The name? <strong>Raring Ringtail</strong>.

This roaring release aims to be ratified with riotous improvements to Ubuntu's performance in the mobile arena, and Mark even seems to have hinted at a possible Ubuntu Tablet Edition*. What remains to be realized, is if the Ringtail referred to is a Ringtailed Cat, a Ringtailed Lemur, a Ringtailed Roach, Rabbit, Rhinoceros, or God knows... a Rojosaurus? (A fictional dinosaur from Roland's novel).

Really, we're on the edge of our seats.

*This is inferred, of course.
